Public Notice on Cyber Extortion Emails
Last Updated : May 15, 2024
We would like to bring to the notice of the general public that Jobsoid is a cloud-based recruitment platform used by thousands of companies across the world to manage their recruitment processes.
In a recent incident, some of our Jobsoid users have used the Jobsoid recruiting platform to send out cyber extortion emails, diverging from its intended function of being a recruitment software, thereby violating our Acceptable Use Policy.
These scamsters have been demanding transfers of money from potential victims by threatening them of exposing sensitive or compromising information. They have also demanded transfers via cryptocurrency to prevent the dissemination of the compromising information such as videos and to remove malware from their infected devices.
As a responsible company committed to upholding ethical standards, we find it imperative to address these occurrences and would like to inform the general public not to engage with these scamsters or give in to any of their threats.
Our team has taken swift action after identifying this incident and blocked these accounts of scamsters and also have stopped taking trial signups till we have mitigated such incidents from happening in the future.
We are also in the process of reporting this to the concerned cyber-crime enforcement agencies and are ready to collaborate with law enforcement agencies in any ongoing investigations concerning the victims.
If you have already received such e-mails, you are advised to terminate all further contacts with the scammers, and, in the event that you have sent them funds, contact your local law enforcement agency immediately.
Our commitment remains unwavering in ensuring the integrity of our platform and the safety of our users.
